Join us in Mayapur from Janury 18 to February 9, 2026 for a life changing kirtan and bhakti experience!
Kirtan Teacher Training is one-of-a-kind unique program that allows our students to immediately become qualified kirtan teachers after the completion of the course even if you are a complete beginner.
To ensure that KTT is built on 4 core modules:
1. Learning the skill
2. Practicing the skill
3. Learning how to teach the skill
4. Teaching the skill
All of it is built in our daily schedule so that every day whatever you learn you end up teaching to your fellow students.
We have developed an essential basic set of skills for a kirtan leader/teacher in 5 distinct areas:
1. Harmonium
2. Vocals
3. Mridanga
4. Karatals
5. Mood and underlying philosophy of kirtan
KTT is designed in such a way that you will not only learn and absorb this set of skills but also learn how to teach each of the lessons with precision and clarity.
You will be learning how to capture your audience, lead guided mantra meditation sessions and absorb your audience in intentional, deep and transformative kirtan experience as a kirtan leader.
And you will have ample opportunities to practice that with your fellow students and get constructive feedback both from your peers and from your teachers to understand where you excel and what areas need more work.
Kirtan Teacher Training goes beyond learning—it’s about forming lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories.
As you practice, teach, and grow together, you’ll connect deeply with like-minded souls from around the world.
The shared experiences create lasting bonds, as many of our past students have shared in our Testimonial section.
Join us in Mayapur and become part of a global kirtan family!
Our morning sessions are dedicated to both the philosophical and practical aspects of kirtan and learning karatals, mridanga, and harmonium, as well as vocal techniques.
The first part of our afternoon sessions focuses on hands-on practice, allowing you to refine your skills.
In the second part of the afternoon sessions, you'll have the opportunity to teach what you've learned to your fellow students, reinforcing your knowledge and sharing insights.
Visvambhar, an internationally recognized Kirtan singer, recording artist, and inspirational speaker, is a master of the Mridanga drum and a multi-instrumentalist. He has performed alongside top Kirtan artists and is the lead singer of The Mayapuris.
Doyal Gauranga has been at the forefront of Kirtan education for over a decade. In 2013, he co-founded Kirtan Academy, the foremost hub for kirtan education, and has been running it ever since, sharing his passion for Kirtan with students worldwide.
You will be given full access to all the recorded lessons and complete curriculums from the training.
This means that you can revisit and review the material at any time, allowing you to deepen your understanding and refine your newly acquired skills.
With these resources at your fingertips, you'll have the tools and materials needed to teach what you've learned to others, further solidifying your own knowledge and proficiency.
Each Kirtan Teacher Training student receives their own set of instruments, including a mridanga, karatals, and a harmonium, for use during the course.
After completing the training, you may choose to:
- Take them home
- Have us assist with shipping
- Sell them locally
- Gift or donate them as per your preference.
After completing the Kirtan Teacher Training, all students are encouraged to connect with us for ongoing guidance.
For the next 12 months, we're happy to offer 10-15 minutes of weekly call support to help you deepen your kirtan practice and teaching skills.
While the initiative is yours, we highly encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity for continued growth.
